Almaden residents hold blockbuster
block parties

The residents of Almaden Valley did the Beatles proud this Labor Day weekend by holding a host of community events that invited neighbors young and old to “Come Together” for a last taste of summer.
Though the events ranged in size from a festive street fair to a relatively quiet backyard gathering, all served the same purpose of taking an afternoon off from the usual hectic Bay Area pace and reconnecting with family, friends and neighbors.

Run to get your Almaden Times Classic entry in
Those energetic runners that want to participate in the 15th annual Almaden Times Classic have less than 20 days to get their entries in at the lower reserved prices.
Entrants that pre-register by Sept. 23, which is recommended to ensure T-shirts, will benefit, paying only $25 each for adults and $13 for children 12 and under. Families of up to four members, consisting of adults and children, are $60. The fees go up after Sept. 23 to $30 for adults, $15 for children and $70 for families. Registration fees are not refundable. Separate entries are required for each family member.
