Almaden Valley Rotary Club donates turkeys to needy families
for Thanksgiving
More than 70 people receive turkeys and food items

Staff Writer
A long narrow table with more than 70 turkeys and other free food items greeted low-income residents of the Hoffman/Via Monte neighborhood Monday afternoon at Almaden Hills United Methodist Church.
The much-welcomed donation was courtesy of the Almaden Valley Rotary Club, which purchased the food to provide a Thanksgiving dinner to those who are less fortunate. Read more...

| A floral fantasy fundraiser

Everyone who has ever seen a Bloomsters floral arrangement says you can always spot Kren Rasmussen’s unique work a mile away. On Nov. 12, he revealed some of his tricks to members of the Assistance League, along with a secret or two.
