Long anticipated, Pioneer High School’s performing arts center set
to open this weekend
Arson fire destroyed old PAC in 2003

“All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players”—from Shakespeare’s “As You Like It.”
For Pioneer High School this passage is especially poignant. Drama teacher Steve Dini and his students have taken all of Pioneer’s shows on the road for the past three years during the rebuilding of the school’s performing arts center after arsonists destroyed the original structure in November of 2003.

| Remembering Rocky
Former Almaden Golf and Country Club board president Rocco Genevese, 69, loses fight with cancer

Staff Writer
On Dec. 22, Rocco ‘Rocky’ Genovese, 69, lost his fight against cancer; but he will not be forgotten by the many lives he touched in Almaden.
His spirit lives on in his wife and children, at Almaden Golf and Country Club where he served as board president and at Burke Industries, at which he served for 12 years as president and CEO.
