Almaden Feed & Fuel advocates await their day in court

Proponents for saving the Almaden Feed & Fuel were prepared to present their case to the city of San Jose’s Historic Landmarks Commission at San Jose City Hall on Aug. 2. But it was removed from the agenda because the commission wasn’t ready for them.
Even though it was postponed until Sept. 6, those gathered to plead its case decided to remain. | City Council resumes after break
Long meeting, many important subjects

The San Jose City Council met this week for the first time since June 28 to discuss a number of important topics including establishing grounds and procedures for removing council members from office for misconduct, fiscal actions for the mayor’s office, and charter amendments on restricting outside employment and council member salary setting.
