VTA provides free rides on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will continue its annual tradition of providing free rides on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The free service is being provided to encourage everyone to enjoy the holiday safely while traveling to festivities around Santa Clara County.

This year not only are the rides free but VTA will extend service several hours past the regular schedule on VTA’s Express Bus Line 180 to the Fremont BART station. The Light Rail will also operate longer to support extended bus on New Year’s Eve.
