How do you feel about Donald Trump giving Miss USA a second chance after it was revealed that the underage Tara Connor was reported drinking and “acting inappropriately” in New York City bars? What did you think of her response at the press conference?
(Asked at Almaden Center)
“I do like the idea that everyone should have a second chance, but what is she supposed to represent and what is she responsible for? I don’t think she’s the role model that our young women should follow. I also agree with Rosie. I don’t think Donald Trump is in any position to act as a parent. I just don’t think he’s a good model of behavior himself.”

“I think everyone should get a second chance. Mistakes happen; it’s fair.”

“Everybody should get a second change, no matter what they do wrong. I think he did the right thing.”

“I’m appalled that he gave her a second chance. Her statement was superficial and unnecessary.”
Kyle Zidell, 21

“Second chances are wonderful, but when you have a national public position, even though everyone takes chances, you shouldn’t do anything to crush that image. Trump shouldn’t have given her a second chance because she has to be responsible and face the consequences of her actions. Her title should be stripped; she clearly knew the rules."

“Everyone deserves a second chance. Everyone makes mistakes. I think it was big of him to give her a second chance because her actions reflect on him and his company. It was generous of him.”
Erin Rainville, 22

“My general theory is that people have sketchy backgrounds. It doesn’t make them less qualified. It depends on what they are capable of.”
Mary Ann Frank, 38

"I don’t think she should have a second chance. Everyone should go in equally with the same rules and regulations. Her comments have no affect on my answer. She absolutely knew the rules so she shouldn’t have cheated in the first place."
