Almaden Valley Women's Club donates $1,000 to Gifts for Teens

Gifts for Teens finished assembling 1,230 teen gifts. The totes and bags will be distributed to clients of the Bill Wilson Center and Sacred Heart Community Services this week. They will brighten the holidays for low-income teens who otherwise might not receive a gift during the holidays. The Almaden Valley Women's Club recently donated $1,000 to Gifts for Teens. The money was used to buy tote and sport bags needed for Gifts for Teens annual holiday project supporting 1,230 needy area teenagers. Volunteers filled the new bags with donated clothing, toiletries, games, and candy.

The finished gifts were distributed through Sacred Heart Community Services and the Bill Wilson Center. Gifts for Teens is a volunteer program sponsored by the American Association of University Women, the City of San Jose, organizations like AVWC and community volunteers.
