Almaden man wins EBBY Award

Almaden Valley resident Ed Correia, CEO of Sagacent Technologies, Inc., received the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Champion award at the annual Ebby’s Awards luncheon. The Ebby Award recognizes local small businesses displaying excellence.

Correia was recognized for his contributions to the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and other small businesses in general. He has chaired several business-networking groups for the chamber over the last several years and created a new peer-coaching group, the CEO Roundtable, for business owners that are members of the chamber.

“It was a pretty nice surprise,” said Correia, “particularly when you are nominated and chosen among so many other great contributors.”

Sagacent Technologies manages the technology, computers and security of small businesses throughout Silicon Valley. Wherever possible, they have also assisted community-focused nonprofit organizations with their technology and consulting needs.
