CRIME STOPPER OF THE WEEK
Bank Robbery

Since May 12, 2003, there have been a string of eight robberies
in the San Jose and South Bay involving the same suspect. All of
the robberies have occurred at banks between the house of 9:00 a.m.
and 6:00 p.m. Six of the robberies have occurred on Monday and the
other two have occurred on a Tuesday and Thursday. The suspect is
described as an Asian or Hispanic male, in his 30’s, 6’,
180-200 lbs., with a medium build and dark hair. The suspect wore
a black knit cap in most of the robberies.
CRIME STOPPERS is a cooperative effort between the local media,
San Jose Police Department, and a citizen Board of Directors. Once
a week an unsolved police case is presented to the public. Citizens
are urged to call 947-STOP if they have information on any other
serious crime. You do not give your name, you are given a code number
and if the tip results in an arrest you receive a reward of up to
$1000.00 NO ONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE.
