The Writers’ Guild strike has been going on for about a month. How or has it changed your television viewing habits? Any guesses when it will end?
(Asked at the Sonoma Chicken Coop, Almaden Expressway at McAbee)
“It’s not really affected me yet, but I expect it to in January; I heard that ‘24’ is not happening. I expect the strike to end before the end of next year (2008). My cousin is a writer.”
Cyndi Innecken, 41
Almaden

“It hasn’t changed my viewing habits yet, but I heard the shows will all end in February and that’s when it will start affecting me.”
Valerie Azevedo, 46
Almaden
Executive administrator for underground construction firm
“It hasn’t changed my viewing habits at all. I’ve noticed a skinnier Jay Leno, but I don’t watch current TV. I have no idea when the strike will end, probably soon.”
Dray Miller Jr., 27
Willow Glen
Loan consultant
“I don’t really watch TV much. I probably wouldn’t watch as much if I had more information about it. I think it will continue on for a while longer before it ends."
Kelsey Schroeder, 16
Almaden
Junior at Presentation High School
“It hasn’t changed my viewing habits because I watch the Food Network and CNN, those channels aren’t affected. Typically I watch shows on DVD, maybe two years down the road [so I can see the episodes together]. I think the strike is a question of greed on both sides. With our current economy, everyone should be happy that they are working.”
Rochelle, 54
Morgan Hill
Floor Service Supply president
“They haven’t gotten into reruns yet, I’m still watching new episodes of ‘House,’ ‘Private Practice’ and ‘Gray’s Anatomy.’ I don’t want to watch reruns. I don’t think it will end until the series’ hiatus. It will stretch out until the summer.”
Cindy Sims, 50
Almaden
Minister
"No, it hasn’t changed my viewing habits, I usually watch Sports Center and news anyway. I like to watch reruns and movies. I don’t care for any of the new shows at all. “
Bob Sims, 51
Almaden

“It hasn’t affected me at all, I only watch news, sports and old movies. I don’t particularly care when it’s over.”
