Almaden Valley resident Teddy Morse retires from Santa
Clara Valley Water District
Almaden Valley resident Teddy Morse, 56, recently retired from
the Santa Clara Valley Water District Oct. 17 after 25 years of
service. Morse began working for the Santa Clara Valley Water District
in 1979, spending most of her nearly 25-year career as the water
district’s public information officer.
Retirement from the water district is the beginning of a new career
for Morse as she begins working with her husband in the family business,
MorseComm, representing companies that sell satellite communications
equipment for commercial and military applications.
“We have a vacation home at a golf resort in Central Oregon
and plan on spending more time there,” Morse said. “But
we’re Almaden Valley residents and will continue to maintain
our main residence here where I plan on becoming more active in
serving the community of Almaden.”
Morse and her husband, Tom, have been active in the Almaden community
coaching youth basketball, soccer and softball while raising two
daughters.
The Santa Clara Valley Water District manages Santa Clara County's
wholesale drinking water resources, coordinates flood protection
for its 1.7 million residents and provides stewardship for the county's
10 reservoirs and more than 700 miles of streams.
