Simonds School Music & Technology Foundation receives check from Vice-Mayor

Vice-Mayor Pat Dando recently presented the The Simonds Music and Technology Foundation with a $1,000 grant check. The foundation is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 tax-exempt foundation established by parents of Simonds Elementary School children. It provides for the continuous financial support for critical music and technology educational programs that foster an early appreciation for the arts and an awareness and literacy in technology as a learning tool.

The foundation is funded through a variety of sources, including family donations, community fundraisers, silent auctions, walk-a-thons, charitable and corporate foundation grants, and San Jose City grants like the one arranged by Vice-Mayor Pat Dando.
