Pet of the Week

Chester

Chester Dillon is an affable fellow who even at his advanced age keeps up with his master’s hikes in the sierras. Here Chester is shown taking a well-deserved breather after climbing the summit of Mt. Rose in the Lake Tahoe region.

The 14-year-old Golden Retriever is Gary Dillon’s main sidekick now that his beloved wife Doris passed away. Chester made his first appearance with the family as a puppy one Christmas morning when the Dillon’s three children woke up to find the little guy in a basket under the Christmas tree with a yellow ribbon tied around his neck. The whole family fell instantly in love with the golden haired pooch and we can see why!
