Vehicle Accident-Minor Injuries
Kooser/Gatewood
A three-car injury collision occurred at Kooser and Gatewood. It was learned that vehicle #1 was traveling eastbound on Kooser and initiated a left turn onto Gaytewood. Failing to see and yield to westbound vehicles. Vehicle #1 struck vehicle #2 causing both vehicles to lose control and strike an uninvolved vehicle legally stopped on Gatewood and Kooser. The right front passenger in vehicle #1 had to be extricated form the vehicle by fire personnel. She was stable but was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

Possession of a Deadly Weapon, 6F Warrant
Kirk/Paseo Tranquillo
An officer conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The driver fled the vehicle, which was reported stolen, with Officer Linden in foot pursuit. The suspect subsequently tossed a bag, which contained a 30-30 sawed-off rifle, and 20 rounds of ammo which Officer Linden recovered. The suspect fled in the direction of Challenger Middle School and Branham High School. Both schools went into lockdown mode and the School Liaison Unit responded to assist. Officers from DA, DY, and DT Districts in Southern Division, TEU, and the Day Detectives assisted in establishing a parameter and a search for the suspect in the parking lot of Branham High School. The suspect was booked into county jail for possession of an illegal weapon and felony warrant.

Community Policing Meeting
Simonds Elementary School
Officers participated in a meeting at Simonds Elementary School regarding traffic issues involving morning dropoff and afternoon pickup. Vice Mayor Dando attended the meeting along with her aide, Joshua Howard, and representatives from the department of transportation, the school administration, and parents involved with Simonds School. A follow-up meeting will occur in two weeks prior to the PTA Meeting to confirm the engineering changes and new regulatory signs.

Search Warrant
5200 block of Camden Avenue
METRO Graffiti Officers served a search warrant at the above address for numerous vandalism that occurred in the neighborhood. Officers located an indoor marijuana grow, evidence of vandalism using acid, and methamphetamine for sale. Two suspects were arrested.

Robbery
6677 Camden Avenue
A robbery occurred at Leland High School. The victim stated that he and his friend were repairing his car to the rear of the school when the two suspects approached them. One of the suspects asked the victim for money. The victim gave him $3. The victim did not see the second suspect with a gun. The witness advised that he saw the gun in the second suspect's waistband. The victim and the witness stated that the suspects left the area in a white, older car. The night detectives were notified.

Major Injury Traffic Accident
Camden Ave./ Plainview Ct.
A 16-year-old female driver lost control while descending on Camden Hill, partially rolled the car, and struck a tree, crushing the roof. She was extracted by fire and transported to a local hospital for examination of internal injuries.

Coroners Case
Lookout Bend Drive
70-year-old male was found deceased by his wife. Victim exhibited heart attack symptoms at 0005 hours, but EMS was not summoned due to victim's religious beliefs.

Recovered Explosives
Rosswood Drive
A citizen contacted the police to turn in two blasting caps. Bomb technicians responded and took custody of the caps for destruction.

Accidental Shooting
6800 block of Campist Court
An accidental shooting occurred at the above location. The victim was apparently putting away a 30-30 rifle when it discharged, striking herself in the wrist. She was transported to Santa Teresa Hospital by her husband and son. The injury was not life threatening. Units arrived on scene after the victim had been transported to the hospital and secured the residence. The weapon was taken as evidence and photos were taken of the scene.

Coroner's Case
7000 block of Kindra Hill
A 60-year-old male with a history of heart problems, diabetes and high blood pressure went into cardiac arrest at approximately 2146 hours. Fire and paramedics on scene were working on the victim when police arrived. A paramedic from Station 28 pronounced death at 2216 hours. The night detective and Lt. Moore were notified. The coroner was notified and responded to the scene.

Selective Enforcement
Castillero Middle School
The District Adam team conducted enforcement at the above location in regard to complaint concerns. The team made contact with 37 parent/motorists issuing 25 educational warnings for “Hollywood stops” and 12 for minor speed violations.
