Pet of the Week:

“The Dude”

This week's Pet of the Week belongs to Kim and Ron D'Alena who named him “The Dude” after a movie character. “A big, beautiful male cat, resembling a miniature lion, showed up one evening at our back door, meowing,” said Kim. “He was a little timid at first, but eventually became very comfortable hanging out with us, so we adopted him or rather he adopted us (I mean who is really in charge here?). There was only one name that fit him: “The Dude.” His name comes from a character in the movie “The Big Lebowski” (played by Jeff Bridges) who is a large, shaggy, affably mellow creature who enjoys a life of habitual recreation. We felt this couldn't describe our cat more perfectly.” Kim says she appreciates her neighbors allowing her cat to roam and occasionally feeding “The Dude” because this dude loves his food!

Then send us a jpeg digital picture of your pet or a ‘real' print through the mail.
