Library used book sale raises $3,185

Library will close for major renovation Dec. 14

Almaden Branch Library's Fall Book Sale held last Saturday was a huge success raising $3,185 for the Almaden Branch Library. “We did a booming business,” said Ed Koetitz, young adult librarian. The popular event, sponsored by the Friends of the Almaden & Vineland Branch Libraries, was a great opportunity to purchase high quality used books for low prices. All proceeds benefitted Almaden Library programs and services.

This was the last semi-annual book sale to be held at the current location for a couple of years. The library will be closing for approximately two years for a major renovation on Dec. 14 and residents will be encouraged to use the Santa Teresa, Pearl or Cambrian libraries until the new Vineland Branch Library, located at 1450 Blossom Hill Road opens on Jan. 17.
