Fall Book Sale this Saturday!

The Vineland Branch Library Fall Book Sale is one you won’t want to miss! Discover a book on a topic new to you. We have lots of children’s books. Entertainment videos, DVDs, and CDs are included. We will have a special “Bag of Books” at a bargain price the last hour. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m.– 4 p.m.

October is filled with ghosts and goblins, and at Vineland it is the Monster Mash on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7 to 10 p.m. for people 18 and older. End your Halloween trick or treating at our haunted house and enjoy our magical brew and witch’s cookies. A costume contest will be held. Tasteful costumes required. A DJ will provide music for dancing.

Our knitting circle has become so popular that we are in need of more instructors. If you are interested in teaching others to knit, please call the branch. The class is open to all ages and skill levels, generally, every Saturday at 4 p.m. Bring your own materials.

Events:
- Yoga has returned to Vineland on Monday nights at 6 p.m. Come relax with a yoga instructor. No charge. The next class is Nov.6.

- Senior Book Discussion Group (50+) meets Thursday, Oct. 26 at 10:15 a.m. Was a World War II aviator really killed in the war? Read “Pardonable Lies” by Jacqueline Winspear. They meet the fourth Thursday of each month. Visitors are always welcome.

- The ESL Conversation Club is held every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Community Room. This one-hour session is a great way to practice English and make friends at the library. No pre-registration required.

- On Fridays Toddler Storytime (ages 24-35 months) is 10:15 a.m. and Preschool Storytime (ages 3-5 years) is 11:15 a.m.

- Wednesday Preschool Storytime (ages 3–5 years) is 11:15 a.m.

- Storytime Express, a 15-minute storytime for preschoolers, is held in the children’s area every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. and Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

- Family Storytime is held on Saturdays at 11 a.m.

- Our Reading to Children volunteer is here Saturdays at 3 p.m.

Vineland Branch Library is located at 1450 Blossom Hill Road. The library will be closed Saturday, Nov. 11 for the holiday. Regular hours are Monday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday-Wednesday 11 a.m.–8 p.m.; Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. For questions, call 808-3000 during business hours.
