CRIME STOPPER OF THE WEEK Attempted Kidnapping On Sept. 13 at around 4 p.m., a 12-year-old victim was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Hamilton Avenue at Hicks Road when the suspect drove along side him. The suspect had a piece of paper in his hand as if he was looking for an address and was lost. The victim was going to offer the suspect some directions when at the same time, the suspect pointed a knife at the victim and told him to get in the car. The boy rode his bike away and was not injured. He described the car as an early 1990s boxy style, black vehicle similar to a Honda Civic. It had a red interior with primer spots and missing paint. Case number: 03-256-0895, Investigator: Magnuson, phone: 408 277- 4161 CRIME STOPPERS is a cooperative effort between the local media, San Jose Police Department, and a citizen board of directors. Once a week, an unsolved police case is presented to the public. Citizens are urged to call 947-STOP if they have information on any other serious crime. You do not give your name, you are given a code number and if the tip results in an arrest you receive a reward of up to $1,000. NO ONE KNOWS WHO YOU ARE.
