Leland Robotics Team holds fund-raiser this Saturday at Starbucks

Leland High School's Robotics Team will be fund-raising at the Starbucks located at Almaden /Crown Plaza on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 11 a.m. It is always a fun day for the students and the community members. The students will demonstrate their 2006 robot and possibly the 2005 robot.

The team and other local schools’ teams will be participating in the CAL Games at Pioneer High School on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Chamber members and guests can get the latest scoop on this year's team as Sharks' President and CEO Greg Jamison steps up to the podium as the guest speaker for the Silicon Valley Morning Buzz on Tuesday, Oct. 24.

During his tenure with the Sharks, Jamison has overseen the transformation of the Sharks into one of NHL's most respected and successful franchises. In his nine years as president, the team has advanced to the Stanley Cup playoffs seven times, including the franchise's first-ever appearance in the Western Conference Finals in 2004.
