Teen stabbed at Almaden and Via Monte
On Saturday, Sept. 29, just about 5 p.m., a pedestrian flagged down a San Jose police officer on routine patrol near Pioneer High School at Almaden and Via Monte. The pedestrian told the officer a teenager had been stabbed.
The 15-year-old, a sophomore at Willow Glen High School, had been stabbed. According to police reports, he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police still are conducting interviews and have not released any information about teen or the homicide.
Meanwhile, Willow Glen High held a moment of silence for the student on Tuesday.
In other crime news, on Sept. 28, at the Brittania Arms parking lot in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway, officers were investigating a drunk in public incident. While dealing with the intoxicated subject, another intoxicated male backed his vehicle out of a parking spot and hit a parked patrol vehicle. The car sustained minor damage to the right side of the front bumper. The driver was arrested and booked into county jail for driving while intoxicated. No one was injured as a result of the accident.
