What are your thoughts about a judge giving custody of Britney Spears’ sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline? Why do you think Spears is acting the way she is? (Asked at the Almaden Library/Community Center)
“It’s a very interesting question because I don’t follow Britney Spears nor do I trust the media reports and I don’t know if I can trust what I see and hear about her. She definitely has some issues she needs to work out as a mother. She needs help.”

“I don’t think either one should have those kids. Neither are good parents and neither have the responsibility to raise them. The grandmother should raise them. I think she’s sick.”

“I think they shouldn’t give those kids to the father or the mother. The grandparents would be a better choice. I think Britney Spears wants more attention from people. She is sick.”

“I think they should be given to the grandparents because I don’t think either [Spears or Federline] are stable enough to raise those children. Britney has had too much too soon.”

“I think the way she’s been acting they are better off with their dad. She’s behaving this way to get more attention."

“She needs the attention, but she also needs help so she can get the kids at least half the time.”

“I think it’s about time they take the kids away from her, maybe he is the best to take care of the children because of what has been in the news. She’s acting that way because of drugs, definitely drugs, and a breakdown.”
Linda Sanchez, 29

"I really haven’t been following [what’s been going on with her], but she didn’t follow the judge’s orders. She needs help."
Alexandra Mendoza, 36

“Without [knowing] all the facts, it seems kind of harsh. It’s kind of hard to ignore her public persona and it seems like she could clean up if she really wanted. Substance abuse and her fame as a child play a big role in what is wrong with her. On top of that she’s fighting with everyone in her family. She has no one to support her. I’m sad for Britney.”
