Lending a helping hand…

After reading about the lack of donations to Family Giving Tree’s Back-to-School Backpack Drive in August in the Cambrian Times newspaper, Cathy Jackson felt compelled to do something. A board member of the Intero Foundation, Jackson called Family Giving Tree’s development director Jeanne Clabaugh and invited her to apply for a grant. The happy results were on display recently when Clabaugh and Family Giving Tree’s development associate, Diego Abeloos, recently visited Intero’s Camden Avenue office to accept a $10,000 grant check from the Intero Foundation. “Thanks to the news coverage enough donations came in to fulfill the needs of all of the children who had applied for school supplies,” said Clabaugh.
