Former Saratoga Elementary School aide arrested on child molestation charges

In April 2005, a 19-year-old male reported being molested by a family acquaintance in 1997. The suspect was identified as former San Jose resident Roger Phillip Lange. The molestation occurred at a location on Stokes Avenue near Leigh Avenue.

Lange was employed at Saratoga Elementary School within the Saratoga Union School District as a non-credentialed teacher’s aide from Sept. 12, 1996 to June 14, 1998. Lange moved to Las Vegas, Nev. near the time of the sexual assault. A Nevada criminal history search revealed Lange was arrested in 1999 for lewdness with a minor and is a sexual registrant in Nevada. Lange, now 41, was arrested in Las Vegas, Nev. for 12 counts of child molestation, extradited to California, and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on Sept. 13, 2005.
