Jumpin’ in at the New Almaden Day Parade

A grand time was had by all in attendance of the New Almaden Day “Jump In” Parade.

Horses, vintage autos, entrants for the best float and a flood of people who were excited to be part of the procession filled the streets of Almaden and Bertram Road. And if that wasn’t enough, everyone crowded the Community Club for barbecue tri tip, games and raffle prizes to the music of the One-Eyed Jacks. It was a great day for everyone who attended.

Jeff Pederson mans the grill with some good-looking tri-tip and chicken. Fishin’ for a prize brought out a lot of enthusiasts.
Cowgirl Kitty Monahan on her pinto Sonny Six Feathers greeted the crowds with a big smile. Who knew miners had miniature dachshunds? The New Almaden Quicksilver Park interpreter dressed in his best mining duds. His dog C.J. took off his hat when the parade first began.
