Century 21 Champion to hold 13th annual Charity Golf Tournament

Century 21 Champion will hold its 13th annual Charity Golf Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Course.

For the past 12 years, Century 21 Champion has had a tradition of holding an annual golf tournament. This will be the fourth consecutive year that the tournament will be held to benefit a charity.

Last year the tournament raised over $7,600 toward the Bill Wilson Center from their 12th Annual Golf Tournament that also took place at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Course. It was the largest tournament Century 21 Champion had ever held with just over 112 golfers and 23 sponsors.

Century 21 Champion invites the public to play in this year’s annual charity golf event. Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with food and refreshments served. The shotgun start is set for noon. There will be other contests on the course including a hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin. The entry fee is $150 per player, which includes golf balls, brunch, a cart and dinner at which prizes will be awarded.

Many of the proceeds come from the sale of raffle tickets along with a silent and oral auction that takes place at the post-tournament dinner. Prizes come from donations and sponsorship money provided by many of the company’s affiliates such as; HomeGuard Inc, Dan’s Auto Repair, Cortec Precision Sheetmetal, Washington Mu-tual and others.

Since 1973, the Bill Wilson Center, a nonprofit community based agency, has been providing services to the Santa Clara community by serving youth and families through counseling, housing, education, and advocacy. Each year Bill Wilson serves over 6,000 clients through 11 different programs.
