Something new
Miss Keiko is our new Reading to Children volunteer and will be here each Saturday from 3–4 p.m. She will be delighted to read a story to children. Children can stop by anytime from 3–4 p.m. for one story or
several.
Our popular Persian/English Bilingual storytime returns this month on Sat., Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. Our storyteller will present Persian stories and songs to enjoy for children and their caregivers. This storytime will be held the third Saturday of each month.
Don’t know a knit stitch from a purl stitch? No problem. Learn to knit or teach someone else. We are starting a Knitting Circle on Saturday, Sept.9 from 4–5 p.m. It will be held each Saturday for ages 8 and older. All skill levels are welcome, and there is no charge. Bring your materials and something you are working on or start fresh. If you have needles or yarn to donate to new knitters, please bring them with you.
We will be starting after-school programs for students in grades 6-12 in September. The much-anticipated THUMP drum circle program will start on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 3 p.m. No pre-registration required. Call the library for details.
