Hundreds to toast Healthy Kids Insurance
program
at Thomas Fogarty Winery
Hundreds of Bay Area social and business leaders will gather at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside on Sept. 25 for the Fourth Annual Healthy Kids Wine Tasting Benefit.
The event takes place Sunday, Sept. 25, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Thomas Fogarty Winery and Vineyard, 19501 Skyline Boulevard in Woodside.
Healthy Kids provides free or low-cost comprehensive health insurance to almost 14,000 children in Santa Clara County who lack access to affordable healthcare. Administered by the Santa Clara Family Health Plan, the program has been duplicated in ten other California counties.
While the program has been highly effective in Santa Clara County, continued community support is needed to insure each child at an approximate cost of $1,000 per year. The annual wine event helps to raise awareness and funds for this important community program.
Guests will enjoy rare wines, gourmet food, silent and live auctions emceed by Michael Jacobi of KRML Jazz Radio and live plein air painting by local artists in support of Santa Clara County’s revolutionary Healthy Kids insurance program.
Hosts will be Hall of Fame Football Coach Bill Walsh, esteemed Stanford cardiologist and winemaker Dr. Thomas Fogarty, wine merchant Bert George and developer and philanthropist Eric Brandenburg. Also in attendance will be Leona Butler, CEO of Santa Clara Family Health Plan, and Executive Director of Santa Clara Family Health Foundation Craig Walsh.
For tickets call (408) 874-1912 or visit www.healthykidsfund.org.
