San Jose Junior League invites prospective members to general meeting
The Junior League of San Jose invites women interested in exploring membership in the nonprofit organization whose slogan is “Women Building Better Communities” to a prospective member open house Sept. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Villa Ragusa, 35 South Second Street, second floor, Campbell, Calif. Potential members are welcome to stay to attend the general meeting from 7 to 9 p.m.
Junior League of San Jose members work with Bay Area organizations that foster positive early childhood development such as the Bring Me A Book Foundation, the Children’s Discovery Museum and the Family Giving Tree. The Junior League sponsors an annual volunteer recognition luncheon honoring community volunteers. New members can look forward to the upcoming Feb. 29 fashion show fund-raiser as a highlight of the 2007-08 league year.
