Almaden Center revs up summer
with car show

Matching the heat last Friday night, the Almaden Center held its free Hot August Car Show. The well-attended event included older model cars, horses and the Leland High Robotics Club. There were games for the kids, balloon animals, the San Jose Police Department’s Mounted Patrol, a radio station and food and refreshments. Owners of more than 35 cars brought their older models and there also were show cars and a racing boat.
