Bin Huang in Concert at the California Theatre – one night only, from 8 – 10:30 p.m. This concert is a commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. It is primarily a classical music concert, featuring Bin Huang, the first prize winner of the 41st Paganini International Violin Competition. The concert repertoire comprises Jewish music and Chinese music during World War II, Paganini Caprices and Beethoven’s Sonata for violin and piano. Masada, the cutting edge, high-enegry Christian rock group will be performing at all three worship services at Church of the Chimes, 1447 Bryan Avenue in San Jose. Formed in 2001 by Franco Herrero of Victory Outreach San Jose, Masada is an ecclectic mix of jazz-Latin-funk that has won fans in both spiritual and secular arenas. Vision Literacy needs tutor volunteers to help adults build their literacy skills.
