Crime Stopper of the Week
Armed Robbery
On July 25 at 4:30 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Cal Gas station, 288 E. Virginia at South 7th Street and Highway 280. The suspect entered the business, waited for another customer to leave, and then robbed the clerk at gunpoint. The suspect removed a silver revolver from his left front pant pocket, transferred it to his right hand, then pointed it at the clerk. There were two small children in the store standing behind the suspect during the robbery. The suspect obtained about $100 and fled on foot westbound on Virginia Street.
The suspect was wearing a plain black baseball cap, black “Big Daddy Original” T-shirt, black jeans and white shoes. The suspect has no visible tattoos and no facial hair.
