Almaden Area Police Report

7/31,
Assault with Serious Bodily Injury
1100 Block of Holly Oak Circle
On July 28 at approximately 2:30 p.m., a felony assault occurred when a victim was attacked by three male suspects. The victim sustained a broken nose and was diagnosed and treated at a local hospital emergency room. On July 29 at approximately 9:25 a.m., officers arrested one of the three suspects at the address where the assault occurred. In addition to this charge, the suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for three warrants; one for a $10,000 warrant, a $25,000 warrant and a no-bail warrant out of San Francisco.

7/31,
Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Taser Deploy
1300 Block of Kooser Road
Officers responded to the Fifth Quarter Bar to investigate a reported crowd throwing beer bottles. On arrival, they arrested two parties for assault with a deadly weapon; the suspects had kicked the victim. One subject attempted to interfere with the arrest/investigation. He was arrested for public intoxication. A fourth subject then tried to intercede and rescue his brother (suspect #3). He interfered/resisted and was tased to control and arrest him. The tased subject was rendered first aid by SJFD and AMR then transported to VMC ER. All were booked on various charges. No officers were injured.
