It’s back again this summer--we celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Celebration with a carnival. The mystery circle walk, slithering snake race, dolphin toss, and basketball hoop throw are just a few of games to enjoy on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 2-4 p.m.
We are fortunate to have our Vineland Friends of the Library sponsor the talent show, origami, and carnival this year. They are supported by your purchases at the First Saturday of the Month mini-book sales and two big book sales in May and October. The next mini-book sale is Aug. 4 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the big book sale is Oct.27.
Students in grades two through five can continue their summer reading at the Fantastic Kids’ Book Club on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 2 p.m. Students in grade two and three are reading “The New Kid at School,” by Kate McMullan, a Dragon Slayers’ Academy book. “The Dollhouse Murders,” by Betty Ren Wright is the selection for grades four and five.
Just a reminder, there is no story time in August. Story time resumes in September.
