Almaden, Cambrian Business Associations set annual baseball
battle, invite Winchester Business Association
For the third year, the Almaden and Cambrian Business Associations will hold their annual baseball game and potluck. But this year, they have invited the Winchester Business Association.
This year’s festivities are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Saint Timothy’s Lutheran Church and School, 5100 Camden Ave. in San Jose. The game will pit Almaden against Cambrian and Winchester combined.
Access to the ball field is best from Carter Avenue behind the church, but you can also enter at Petri
Place.
Attendees are asked to bring a side dish or a dessert, baseball mitt, hat and sun block. The meat for the barbeque will be provided by San Jose Councilmembers Judy Chirco, Pete Constant and Nancy Pyle.
The event will provide opportunities for networking, before, during and after the game.
Those who would like to attend are asked to RSVP as soon as possible by e-mailing Ken Bryant at kenbryant@mediate.com to confirm the number of people coming, the side dish you would like to bring and if you can provide a portable BBQ pit and/or an umbrella.
The Almaden Business Association was formed as a partnership between the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and the businesses in the Almaden/Blossom Valley areas of San Jose, to help each other grow our businesses and support our community. ABA’s 2007 leadership team has chosen the theme “Alliances for Business Growth and Community Support”
To reflect and guide its goals and purposes, as we strengthen the connection between ABA Member Businesses, the Almaden/Blossom Valley community, the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce and local businesses not familiar with the ABA.
