The new Batman movie ‘The Dark Knight’ opened last week and broke several box office records. It’s also generated a lot of talk. Have you seen the movie? (Asked at Sonoma Chicken Coop)

“No, I haven’t, but I plan to. If I don’t go tonight then it will have to be after Aug. 12. I’m going on a drum tour of the East Coast with Santa Clara Vanguard.”

Jeff Ramos, 18
Almaden
Student at West Valley College

“No, I haven’t seen it yet. I’m so busy, I don’t have time for movies. If my wife wants to see [it] then we will go, but I prefer movies that don’t require thinking. I know it’s a popular movie, but I don’t see movies when they first come out, I wait a month and go when there are no crowds.”

Hilton Goldstein, 41

Owner, software company

“No, we haven’t seen it yet. We have an 8 ½-month-old baby. We’re not going out as much as we did before the baby.”

Kevin Kerns, 42
Almaden
Engineer

“NO, I haven’t seen the latest movie. But I’m a big Batman fan, especially of Robin, the Boy Wonder [from the TV show]. I do plan to see it, but I will wait until the crowds are gone.”

Tina Fisher, 40ish
Almaden

“We saw it yesterday and we loved it. It was good. It’s better than the older ones [with Michael Keaton], but it’s too dark to take the kids to see.”

Young Hee Hong, 43
Almaden
Manager, Whole Foods Palo Alto

“We went to see “Journey to the Center of the Earth” with the kids. Oakridge was completely crowded last weekend; it was worse than opening weekend for “Sex and the City,” which was pretty crowded. I heard Batman was wonderful and that Heath Ledger as the Joker definitely stole the show. I like Batman, I’ve seen every Batman movie. I plan to see it on Friday especially since I loved Heath Ledger.”

Lori Ourgajian, 34
Alamden
Nanny/homemaker

“No, I haven’t seen it and I just don’t have enough time. My kids are too young. I think there’s some hype about the movie because of Heath Ledger - he may have turned in an Academy Award performance. It’s sad that that happened.”

Greg Steinkamp, 38
Almaden
Sales manager

“No because I had other things to do. I plan to see it when all the hype calms down.”

Henry Ramos, 24
Almaden
Music teacher at Evergreen School of Music
