The seventh and final Harry Potter book comes out Friday night at midnight—or Saturday morning at 12:01. Do you find this exciting and what do you think will happen? (Asked at Almaden Library and Community Center)

“Of course, I love Harry Potter, but I think he [Harry Potter] is going to die. Just Harry Potter, no one else.”

Eunice Kim, 15

Sophomore at Pioneer High School

“I’m not a Harry Potter book fan. I just like the movies. I read one and it was OK, but I didn’t think it was as good as all the hype.”

Michelle Yi, 14
Almaden
Sophomore at Leland High School

“Yes, I really like the books and they are all good books. I’m expecting a lot in this book and I know someone will die but I don’t know who.”

Anne Lingard, 11
Almaden
Sixth grader at Castillero

“I am a big Harry Potter fan and I’ve read all the books that are out at least twice. I just finished reading book number five for third time. I’m looking forward to reading number seven. My older daughter Amy thinks Voldemort and Harry will be having a duel and Voldemort will hit Harry’s time turner and send him back to his closet under the stairs in book one.”

“Yes, I’m very excited. I think someone, one of the main characters, will die but I have no idea who."

Mari Cooley, 13

“Yes, I’m ready to read it. Something really big is going to happen that will change the lives of all the characters.”

Bethany Schwartz, 13

"Yes, I can’t wait. Harry Potter and Ginny [Weasley] will get together and somehow will get Voldemort. Everything will turn out well and Harry will no longer have to live with his aunt and uncle.”

Claire Bang, 10

"Yes, I’m really excited. I think Harry Potter will defeat Voldemort and then the world will be peaceful and he won’t have to live with his mean uncle but will maybe live with Ginny and his friends."

Everett Bang, 7

“I’m not 100 percent hyped about Friday night because I’m not a big Harry Potter fan, but it will be interesting to see how the community reacts to J.K. Rowling’s latest release. I’m not expecting too much because many of the previous Harry Potter books were better than the potential of this one.”

Raymond Liu, 14
Almaden
Freshman at Leland High School

“I don’t really read the books, but I like the movies. I’m not really sure what will happen because there are more books than movies.”

Nick Elsbree, 13
Almaden
Dartmouth Junior High

“I haven’t read any of them yet, but I have to get the first six ready by the middle of August for one of my book groups. I’m looking forward to reading it.”
