CRIME STOPPER OF THE WEEK
Armed robbery and assault
On June 21 at 11:45 a.m., police responded to an armed robbery resulting in injury that occurred on the southbound shoulder of Lawrence Expressway north of Stevens Creek Boulevard. Two adult males and one male juvenile were changing a flat tire on their gold, Ford Crown Victoria when two Hispanic males approached them on foot from the area of Pruneridge Avenue. The Hispanic males robbed one of the three subjects, taking a large amount of cash. During the robbery, the suspects physically assaulted two of the victims with a knife. The suspects then left the area when they were picked up in a four-door, light-colored vehicle with rear and side tinted windows. One victim sustained lacerations to his arm and hand, and was released at the scene. The other victim was transported to Valley Medical Center with stab wounds to the back and leg.

Citizens are urged to call 947-STOP if they have information on any other serious crime and remain anonymous. Rewards of up to $1,000 are offered for information leading to an arrest.
