CRIME STOPPERS

TYPE OF CRIME: Robbery and assault with a deadly weapon

On April 9, 2005 at 8:15 p.m., a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon occurred at the Country Liquors store, located at 3986 Bascom Ave. in San Jose.

The suspect entered the store and carried an armload of pornographic videos out of the store without paying for them.

After the clerk followed the suspect out to the parking lot and attempted to make contact with him in his vehicle, the suspect backed the vehicle out of his parking stall and ran over the clerk, and then fled. The clerk sustained serious injuries.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He has dirty blond hair and at the time of the incident, a day’s growth of a beard. He was wearing a tan, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and dark jeans and driving a white, full-size van with a paper “Hengehold” placard where the rear plate should have been.

The suspect also had a black, mixed-breed, medium-sized dog with him.
