While Almaden seniors from Leland and Pioneer High Schools celebrated their graduation at the Rose Garden, eighth graders from Castillero Middle School moved toward their high school years with a graduation at the HP Pavilion.
The ceremony went off without a hitch and parents were happy with free parking, a beautiful stage, and event staff to help with parking and seating direction. During the hour-long program, Principal Susan Walker thanked the Pavilion for donating the venue.
During the ceremony, two students from the ASB, Dana Sever and Ahrash Aleshi, said the pledge of allegiance and presented the approximately 380 students that will be off to a variety of high schools in the fall including Pioneer, Lincoln, Leland, St. Francis, Archbishop Mitty, Bellarmine and Presentation. Erika Quinonez, from the class, spoke during the promotion.
