If you could go anywhere on vacation this summer, where would you go, and why?
(Asked at Almaden Lake Park)
“I’d like to go to Magic Mountain. I go there every summer; it’s my favorite place! I love taking road trips and bonding with the people I’m driving with. Also, the park is much better than Great America or Marine World. It has a much better variety of rides, and there’s more room, too.”

“I don’t normally go places during the summer since I’ve been retired. I traveled a lot when I was with the Air Force and then with FMC—they sent me to even more places than the Air Force did! The only place I haven’t been to is Australia, so that’s the only place I’d consider for a trip.”

“I think most kids would like to go to Disneyland. The last time I went was a long time ago. It’s really fun because they have a lot of rides, and you’ll never see a school in Disneyland! I really liked the Peter Pan ride last time. Maybe this time I’ll go on the Haunted Mansion.”

“I’d love to go back home to Venezuela and see my family, who I haven’t seen for 20 years. I want them to meet my kids. And my husband doesn’t know anything of Venezuela but me. However, we can’t really go there now, due to the political instability. My husband is American and I’d be afraid for his life, and for my life and my kids.”

“I want to go to Marine World. I went there one time before, too. I like to watch the dolphins; that was my favorite show. I also liked the pirate show. One of my
favorite rides was the river ride. It was a hot day and I got really wet on it!”

“I’d like to go back to Moorea, in the Tahitian Islands. We stayed in Moorea Village about 3 1/2 years ago with family and had a great time. It’s a little village with huts right at the water. The snorkeling scenery is beautiful; it looked just like something out of ‘Finding Nemo!’”
