Teatro Visión is excited to bring back “Santos & Santos” the ground breaking play by award winning playwright, Octavio Solis. Center Stage Productions presents “Inherit the Wind” the classic drama based on the famous Scopes Monkey trial that captured the Nation’s attention and sparked the debate over Creationism vs. Darwinism. MLS Futbolito, Major League Soccer’s official 4-v-4 amateur soccer tournament, will be in San Jose at SJSU’s Spartan Stadium, 1257 S. 10th Street. This amateur tournament targets the league’s growing multicultural fan base and is open to players of all ages, abilities and affiliations. Team rosters can consist of up to seven players and each team will play a minimum of three games in round-robin action. In addition to the games, each registered player will receive an official MLS Futbolito event t-shirt, one ticket to a MLS game (in MLS markets only) and the chance to win various prizes from Panasonic and RadioShack. Legendary midfielder Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama will greet guests and sign autographs at most events. The entrance fee is $150 per team for those competing in the Premier Division and $120 per team for all other divisions. Join with tamale lovers and aficionados from all over the region at Emma Prusch Farm Park for the 2005 Story Road Tamale Festival, celebrating this rich cultural heritage. See who makes the best tamales, enjoy great food and two stages of live entertainment, including the music of “Malo”. There’s fun for everyone including tamale eating contests, tamale cooking demonstrations, unique arts and crafts, plus special fun activities for the children. Sanborn County Park, 16055 Sanborn Road, hosts a Habitat Hike with park staff from noon to 1:30 p.m. The two-mile hike takes nature enthusiasts on an exploration of the park’s plant and tree life. AARP Information Center needs volunteers to staff their office. Duties include helping seniors find various services and programs, and providing information on senior needs. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Sacred Heart Community Service needs teen or adult volunteers to tutor children grades 4 through 8 in mathematics, reading and computer skills, as well as accompanying students on weekly field trips at the Academic Summer Day Camp program. Tutors must be at least high school juniors and 16 years old. Adults and college students are welcome. High school sophomores may join with a recommendation letter from their high school principal. Camp is scheduled Monday, June 27 – Thursday, July 28 and runs from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each weekday. Tutors are asked to volunteer one full week or one day per week. History Park San Jose will present “Macau - Universal Heritage,” a photographic exhibition of 52 vibrant images featuring Macau’s historical architecture. The exhibit is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 12 to 5 p.m. The photographs focus on buildings and sites presented by the People’s Republic of China to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) in a proposal for Macau’s classification as a World Heritage site.
