Did you see the argument with Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” that resulted in Rosie leaving her position three weeks early? What did you think of it?
(Asked at Almaden Center)

“Yes, I think Rosie has a big mouth. Sometimes she should just be quiet.”

“Yes, I saw it early last week. Elisabeth was correct. She was asking Rosie to justify her statement. Rosie called Elisabeth a coward. Rosie has been a loud mouth liberal left wing. She makes statements without backing up the facts. With her leaving “The View” three weeks early, who is the coward?”

“I didn’t watch it but I heard about it. I think Rosie has been too outspoken and I’m glad the other lady put out her own opinion. As for her leaving, I think she’s embarrassed about the argument and it would have been better for her to stay. Elisabeth gave a solid opinion.”

“I did not see it, but I heard about it and enquired about it from my three daughters [two of whom live in Almaden]. From what I understand, the fray was about Rosie’s terminology; she said Americans were terrorists in Iraq and Elisabeth took exception. I understand what Rosie meant. I find it offensive as well when people attack and take over a country and there are thousands of people being killed on both sides. Rosie’s contract was up in three weeks, I think she was too big a personality for that show. When there are big personalities on a talk show, people’s view tends to be the one people take exception to.”

“I didn’t see the whole thing, just the clips. Elisabeth is a very conservative person and all for the ‘right’ way to live. She’s always straight-laced; I think she doesn’t believe in living together before marriage. Rosie is very outspoken. I think it was fine. Last night she said she was like a foster child and didn’t fit into the family. She’s too big, she would probably clash with anyone. I like her, but… Elisabeth held her own.”

“I don’t usually watch “The View” because I’m at work, but I did see the clip. I didn’t hear the entire discussion, but Rosie did appear to be combatant. I think because she had her own show before, it is hard for her to be one of four."
