San Jose council members organize Summer Resource Fair
Families throughout San Jose are invited to a fun and informative CommUnity Resource Fair 2007 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 3 at San Jose City Hall.
CommUnity Resource Fair 2007 is hosted by Mayor Chuck Reed, Vice Mayor David Cortese and San Jose City Councilmembers Pete Constant, Forrest Williams, Sam Liccardo, Pierluigi Oliverio, Madison Nguyen, Judy Chirco, and Nancy Pyle, and the office of the city manager.
Admission to the fair is free and will be held at San Jose City Hall Plaza and Rotunda located at 200 East Santa Clara, San Jose.
The event promises to be filled with useful information about services and benefits that local nonprofit organizations, the city and Santa Clara County offer. More than 85 booths will have information to help people in areas including housing, neighborhood improvement, health care, education, skill training, parenting, immigration, and much more.
Free entertainment and children’s activities are planned throughout the day. Food and water will be served free, and many free prizes will be given away to attendees.
This fair was created specifically for the needs of the Vietnamese community but is open to everyone. Translators and bilingual materials will be provided for those who need them.
