Mark your calendars for Sept. 16, 2007
Leland’s Tracy Liang wins 31st annual Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival logo contest
The 31st annual Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival winning logo was designed by 15 year-old Leland High School student Tracy Liang. She has taken art lessons since she was about 6 years old and is currently further developing her talents at the Lord of Light Art Studio owned by Mrs. Fuji. Earlier this year, Tracy also won the Leland Blue & Gold logo contest.

Tracy would like to attend a New York art college or NYU. She is planning on majoring in animation, illustration or fashion design. Her recent success in winning not one, but two logo contests bodes well for her realizing this dream.

Festival seeks sponsors
The Almaden Valley Women’s Club is currently seeking sponsors for the next festival.
The Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival sponsorship program enables corporations, small businesses, and individuals to support the community through the philanthropic activities of the Almaden Valley Women’s Club. Different levels of sponsorship are available.

Depending on the level, the benefits of sponsorship can include premium listings in festival print, TV, and radio advertising; sponsor logo presentation on the festival website, including linkage to the sponsor’s own site; recognition in pre-festival and festival day signage including street banners; recognition in festival day literature; a canopy festival booth, and more.
On festival day, sponsors are welcomed to a special reception where they can relax in cool breezes off Almaden Lake and enjoy a delicious meal, premium beer and wine, festival entertainment, and the casually elegant ambiance of the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival.
Festival seeking food vendors
The Almaden Valley Women’s Club is also seeking nonprofit food vendors for the festival. The festival is a great fund-raising venue for school or nonprofit organizations. All food types are welcome.
