Do you plan to see the new movie ‘Flight 93’ about the plane that went down in Pennsylvania on 9/11?
(Asked at Almaden Center)
“I want to go see it for several reasons. It involves security and the Department of Transportation, and I was going to go to work for them. I'm interested in security and airplanes and, most important, it's history.”
Peter Wagner, 40ish
Willow Glen
Security officer
“Yes, I will see it. I think it's unfortunate. American people need to see these things vividly so that they are aware. We quickly forget what happened and we need to understand that we're at war for no reason.”
Sylvia Cornoa, 55

“I think I will, but I have my concerns about what it's going to be like. For example, will it be biased or will it explain the real causes [of the tragedy on Sept. 11] or will it explain what really happened? The American people need to open their eyes to see how they are perceived by the rest of the world. I want to see if the movie leads you to think about those things. I hope it's not just another action movie but that it shows that the passengers on the plane were heroes and it does them a service by telling their story.”

“Yes, I want to see it because it shows the people on the flight were heroes and it will be nice to see what the real story is."
Bree Gwinner, 16
Almaden
Sophomore at Leland
“Yes, I'll probably see it together with Bree. I watched one story about it on TV when they interviewed a family and it was moving. I think it's good to connect with their feelings.”
Peter Rodriguez, 17
Almaden
Senior at Leland
"We probably will because I can understand the feelings there. It might get me angrier at the fanatics than I already am, especially if they emblazon it more.”
Bud Nemier
Santa Teresa / Retired
"Yes, I just want to see how it went down, although it's going to be heart wrenching to watch. I want to see the truth because the families were all contacted and asked if it would be OK and most of them were all for making the movie.”
Mary Bachmeier, 44
Almaden
Interior designer and homemaker
"I've already seen it. Yes, I thought it was dedicated to a good cause and telling a story that needs to be told. The people on the flight were very heroic and the movie did a good job of portraying it. The producers even used people who were actually there in the movie, like people from the Federal Transportation Department. I think everyone should see it. When it was over, the theater was somber, but everyone who went thought it was worth the money."
