Thank you letter on behalf of Troy Pollett's family

Editor,

We would like to express our appreciation to all those who have reached out to our family in this trying time.

We have felt the concern and sympathy of a whole community. We are grateful to neighbors who allowed over 100 teenagers to camp near their homes for an entire week at the memorial. We are grateful to those who fed, sheltered and helped clean up after those teenagers. We are grateful to Safeway, Outback Steakhouse on Blossom Hill Road and others whom we don't even know who donated food and water. We are grateful to the unknown neighbor who built and placed a beautiful cross at the memorial. We are grateful to teachers, counselors and high school administrators who consoled us. We are grateful to all who hugged us, expressed their sympathy, told us stories about Troy and in so many kind, thoughtful ways sought to lessen our grief.

To any and all who have contributed in any way: you will never know how much you have comforted, lifted and helped us to remember that there is much good in this world. Thank you, especially, to Troy's friends who keep the candles lit and in whose hearts Troy's light will always burn bright.

The Family of Troy Pollett
