Preventing expensive mistakes
On April 7, Almaden Business Association members and guests, including Councilmem-ber Nancy Pyle were enlightened by a crash course in “The Most Expensive Mistakes California Employers Make and How to Prevent Them,” presented by attorney Rob Coelho of Hoge Fenton Appel and Carole Edman, managing principal of HRManagerToGo.com. Coelho’s expertise in employment law issues, coupled with Edman’s experience in human resources provided valuable tips for employers that could limit their legal exposure in the even a lawsuit is filed.
The topic was another in the ongoing pursuit of the ABA theme, “Six Degrees of Connection.”
