Women’s Health Conference to feature ‘Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus’ author

Registration is underway for The Health Trust Women’s Health Conference on Saturday, March 19, at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The conference is co-sponsored by Community Hospital of Los Gatos, O’Connor Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and El Camino Hospital.

John Gray, Ph.D., author of the best-selling book “Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus,” will be the keynote speaker at the full day event that also includes free health screenings for conference participants to check their blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels, bone density, and body mass index.

A wide variety of health and quality of life topics will be explored in 18 break-out sessions during the day, led by local health care professionals, fitness experts, and life coaches on topics ranging from “Drug Advertising: What To Believe” to “Depression and Anti-Depressants” to “Stroke Aware-ness.”

Gray’s topic is “On Relation-ships: The Mars Venus Solution.” An internationally recognized expert in the fields of communication and relationships, he has written 15 books, which have been sold in 40 languages around the world.

The conference’s opening session will feature LaDoris Cordell on “Making Change: One Woman’s Story.” Other special features of the day include a performance by the Maiko Women’s’ Drum & Poetry Ensemble and health videos made by local teens.

Conference registration fee is $95 and includes all keynote and breakout sessions, health screenings, exhibits, breakfast and lunch. Proceeds from the conference go to The Women’s Health Fund, which financially supports local programs that provide health care and health information to underserved girls and women in Santa Clara Valley.

The Health Trust is a public benefit corporation committed to improving the health and wellness of at-risk, underserved Santa Clara County residents.
