CRIME STOPPER OF THE WEEK
TYPE OF CRIME: Attempted homicide
On Feb. 5, 2005 at about 9:40 p.m., an attempted homicide occurred on the 5300 block of Garwood Drive in San Jose. The victims were standing in their garage and an unknown suspect walked up to the residence and discharged several rounds from a handgun. One victim was struck multiple times and suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect ran northbound on Garwood Drive from the house and was seen getting into the passenger side of a small, dark-colored, compact vehicle. The suspect is described as an White, Hispanic, or Asian male, aged 17 to early 20s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, short dark hair, and thin build with a light complexion.
CRIME STOPPERS is a cooperative effort between the local media, San Jose Police Department, and a citizen Board of Directors. Once a week an unsolved police case is presented to the public. Citizens are urged to call 947-STOP if they have information on any other serious crime and remain anonymous. Rewards of up to $1,000 are offered for information leading to an arrest. You do not give your name, you are given a code number.
