Case holds grand opening
 |
In this economy, it’s quite heartening to see a business open, even if it’s just a move to a new and nicer location. That’s the case—no pun intended—for Case Handyman and Remod-eling, which held its grand opening at 6155 Almaden Expressway on Thursday, Feb. 26. This is the company’s third move. It first opened in January 2005 at Almaden Expressway and Redmond with three employees in a 560-foot office and in 2006 grew to need a larger—1,200-square-foot—office. In December its 15 employees moved into the current office. Franchise owner Jim Kable, who is also president of the Almaden Business Association, notes that business is slower than in 2008, but “there are a number of people planning to remodel lots of bathrooms and they are repairing rotten trim and leaky windows. Pictured cutting the ribbon for the new digs are Ken Kelly from Crimestoppers, Tabard Theatre’s Cathy Spielberg Cassetta, Debbie Kable, who helps her husband in the business, franchise owner Jim Kable, Casey Quisol from RFI and Paul Fales.
